The third grade will be hosting this month's mass. The mass will take place Monday at St. Brigid's Church, we will reach out with any further changes. Students who chose speaking or singing roles should practice at home! We look forward to seeing those of you who can make it.
The students are working on fact fluency. It is important to know multiplication facts fluently in order to be successful in division and other upcoming math topics. In addition to flashcards, here are some other strategies for studying multiplication at home.
Making color coded flashcards Completing timed tests Using multiplication.com for games and flashcards Playing "multiplication war" with a deck of cards Playing multiplication around the world Playing a matching game with facts Making multiplication stacking cups Using fortune tellers with unknown facts written in them Multiplication bingo Writing out each fact 1-12 Using multiplication coloring grids and other printable pages STEM Eating Utensils! Students improved on everyday utensils and tested them out with popcorn.12/11/2017 Both third grade classes will have a science test this Friday. The students have a study guide that highlights big ideas that will be on the test, however there will be additional questions/topics that will be assessed based on classroom lessons so far this term.

Students who would like to be considered should be prepared to say a few words (1-2 minutes) in front of the class. It is a choice to run, students do not need to participate. Student "speeches" can include why he or she wants to run, what his or her qualifications are (ex: good at listening), and so on.
